Yoga with Me

I am your breath’s friend.  Through yoga and manual therapy I encourage a deeper breath so your whole system can be pain free and move openly. 

Why do we need a bigger breath?  Getting more air into the lungs and getting it moving faster is going to change the chemistry of every cell in your body.  All of the sudden the skin becomes pink, the skin may be a little more moist - the glands of the skin are working. I will see the change in your body but you will feel it.  So, what are you waiting for?

I love to teach both beginners and those established in their practice but needing some guidance for a home practice.
I am a 350 hour accredited yoga teacher certifying with my longtime teachers, internationally renowned Monica Gauci and Gregor Maehle.

Introduced to yoga and Trancendental Meditation as a child by my parents, I rediscovered yoga on my own terms as a young adult & began a lifelong process to integrate yoga into my life.

My initial foray in yoga began with Iyengar yoga in 1996, but my Iyengar teacher urged me to practise the Ashtanga tradition and I have never looked back.

Ashtanga yoga suited my hypermobile body as the strength it built gave my body the stability it needed.  That stability permeated other aspects of my life and provided a welcome sense of grounding.

Yoga has been a constant in my life for over 2 decades.  Like an old friend I can turn to, I check in with myself daily with the practice of Ashtanga yoga and off the mat, this has helped me navigate the ebbs and flows and sometimes stormy seas of life.

Ashtanga is a deeply personal practice which has endowed me with interoception  - a sense of the internal state of the body.
